Church planting:
Serve alongside of Czechs and career missionaries
to start new churches. We have a vision to start many more churches, but we
have few people committed to do this. It will require hard work to learn the
Czech language, but the need is so great. Your ministry could involve
evangelism,
discipleship, administration, women’s ministry, leadership training, and
teaching and preaching after you know the
language. Because of the Eastern European culture,
this task will involve the whole family to develop meaningful relationships with
Czechs. Also needed are people with the ability to train in Biblical theology,
ministry philosophy and strategies, church leadership, and evangelistic vision,
with a focus on training men for the pastorate. If the team member has the
proper credentials (Th. M. or higher), he may periodically teach Bible school or
seminary level courses.

English:
Many Czechs know they
must learn English because it is the language of business. We have several
opportunities to teach in schools and provide English conversation classes.
See
our English ministries page. However,
we have few people with the time to meet this growing need. Would you be
willing to serve for 6 months to 2 years to longer?

Theological Education:
Classes have
started! In conjunction with
Martin Bucer Seminary (MBS)
**
in Germany, and other reformed men in the Czech Republic a study center of MBS
has started in Zlín. Teaching and training future pastors, elders and
interested people could be your calling. Have you considered that you
could contribute to theological education, not only in the Czech Republic, but
in other countries where MTW has theological education. Currently 4 MTW
Central European teams are sponsoring theological education (Ukraine, Bulgaria, Berlin
and here). You could make a significant contribution by committing to
teach and mentor young men and women.
Dr.
Thomas K. Johnson is the
Academic Director for our theological education program
in the Czech Republic. (Dr. Johnson is a
PCA T.E. serving with IICS mission and serves as a member of the presbytery of
the Reformed Church.) The first classes began in fall 2004 with 4 men
from the Zlín Reformed Church and 7 other people from the community attending.

Administration: Many aspects of the team's ministry requires
planning for events, keeping records of participants, communication with
people in the US and the Czech Republic and keeping various financial and
other records. We need someone who would serve in this way as part of their
ministry with the team to help as we sponsor conferences, translation of
books, Theological Education ministry and other aspects of the team's
ministry.
