Praise the Lord, all you nations;

Extol him all you peoples.

For great is his love toward us,

And the faithfulness of the Lord endures forever.

Praise the Lord.

~Psalm 117

May this exhortation be our passion, and may the Lord bring it to pass as each of us yields to the working of the Holy Spirit in our lives so that God’s sovereign purposes might be accomplished in us and through us.

Here is the list of prayer items for the month of March.  We continue to be humbled by your commitment to the work here by means of this crucial channel of God’s grace.  Thank you so much!!

1&2        Praise God for the ongoing opportunities to share the gospel.

3&4        Pray for the English classes that the Andersons and René Drápala are leading.  Pray particularly for one lady in Sid’s class who declared herself to be an atheist but listened intently as Sid explained the Christian faith to her.

5&6        Praise God that He continues to provide for our financial needs in light of the plummeting U.S. dollar and the surging Czech crown.  We praise Him for the faithful support of His people.

7&8        Pray for a good friend who has a Catholic background who doesn’t usually attend church.  Recently he asked Sid Anderson if he could go with him one Sunday morning when Sid preached in a town about 40 miles from Zlín.  Pray that the Lord would continue to stir his heart and bring him to a full understanding and embracing of the gospel.  .

9&10      Pray for Sid Anderson as he assists a Reformed work in a section of Prague called Modřany.  Sid will spend several days a month there helping the Farniks who are serving in that work.  Pray for Sid’s protection as he travels and for the Holy Spirit to use him in the lives of the folks there so that the church would grow spiritually and numerically.

11&12    Praise the Lord for the engagement of Paul Anderson, Sid and Louise’s son.

13&14    Pray for wisdom as Paul and his fiancée plan their wedding that it would fit in well with the Anderson’s many responsibilities for the summer camps in July and early August.  Pray also that God would be glorified in the lives of Paul Anderson and his fiancée.

15&16    Praise the Lord that plans for the camps are progressing very well.  The two established camps are full, and we are having to turn many people away.

17&18    Pray for wisdom as we try to decide what to do next year regarding the camp situation.  We need to decide whether to offer yet another camp or whether to look for a larger facility.

19&20    Praise the Lord for the teams from the U.S. who sacrifice and work so hard to make our summer camps such wonderful times for our Czech friends.

21&22    Pray that the Lord would prepare the hearts of our Czech campers as we seek to grow in our friendships with them and as we seek to live and share the gospel.

23&24    Praise the Lord for the willingness of a church from the Atlanta area to come and help with a third camp.  .

25&26    Pray that this camp would be instrumental in seeing our testimony and our work locally grow since this camp is only for people from the Zlín and Slavičín area

27&28    Praise the Lord that Sarah Ingram has found temporary full-time employment.  It is not a church position as she desires, but please pray for the Lord’s peace to fill her heart as she works in this position and waits on Him to lead in the future.

29&30    Pray for us as we face the daily separation from our families that the Lord would give us daily joy and a deep sense of gratitude in and for our work here.  It is truly a privilege.

31           Praise Him for His unending mercy and faithfulness in saving us, and in helping us to understand more fully our total weakness and inadequacy, in light of His total sufficiency.
