Monthly Praise and Prayer Report*

May the Lord encourage all of us with these words from the psalmist:

“The eyes of the Lord are on the righteous and his ears are attentive to their cry…  The righteous cry out, and the Lord hears them; he delivers them from all their troubles.  The Lord is close to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit.”                                                   ~Psalm 34:15, 17-18

            How comforting those words are to those who are covered by the righteousness of Christ!  As you pray this month, may these words also comfort and encourage you in your own trials and difficulties.  As the Lord uses these circumstances to channel His grace and mercy into our lives, let us never forget that the ultimate deliverance comes through death as He then delivers us eternally from sorrow, sickness, and sin.

Due to the fact that we are not in Zlín these next few months, we’ll have fewer prayer & praise items, thus we’ll break the monthly calendar down differently.

            Following is a prayer and praise calendar to be used for the month of September: 

1&2        Praise the Lord for a wonderful working of the Holy Spirit at our English camps in July.

3&4        Pray for the Holy Spirit to work through the seeds that were sown at  camp.

5&6        Praise the Lord for the desire of our national pastor and his wife to organize a third English camp next summer.

7&8        Pray for Sid and Louise Anderson as they travel in the U.S. to visit their supporting churches.  Pray for their protection, for the Lord’s leading as they share about the work in Zlín, and for good fellowship along the way.

9&10      Praise the Lord for a good adjustment for Sarah Ingram to her new life back in the U.S.

11&12    Pray for the Lord to lead Sarah’s steps as she seeks His will for her future.

13&14    Praise for wonderful times of fellowship for the Deutschmanns with family and friends and churches.

15&16    Pray for the Lord to raise up long-term workers for the Czech Republic.

17&18    Praise for safety for the Andersons and Deutschmanns in the many miles they have traveled.

19&20    Pray for the Deutschmanns as they are on a 34-state, 20,000-mile HMA journey.  Pray for safety and many opportunities to share about the Lord’s work in the Czech Republic.

21&22    Pray for both the Andersons and the Deutschmanns that we would be a real encouragement to the churches, pastors, and individuals with whom we’ll be visiting on our HMA.

23&24    Praise God for His ongoing work of grace in the lives of newer believers such as Světlana, Diana, Petr, Dana and Jana.

25&26    Pray that these dear friends would grow in faith, in wisdom, and in their

               desire to serve.

27&28    Pray for the Spirit to work powerfully throughout the Czech Republic to  open hearts and minds to personal sin, the need for repentance, and the need for faith and trust in Christ, as well as submission to His Word.

29&30    Pray for the believers in the Czech Republic to grow in humility and boldness, as they seek to be light and salt.
